The FFA Creed
The creed was written by E. M. Tiffany, and adopted at the 3rd National Convention of the FFA. 
It was revised at the 38th Convention and the 63rd Convention.

What do the letters "FFA" stand for?
 The letters "FFA" stand for Future Farmers of America; however, in 1988 the official name of the organization
was changed to "The National FFA Organization" to reflect the growing diversity of agriculture.

The 2012 annual spring plant sale is March 26-30 & April 9-13 from 3:00-6:00 at the GCHS greenhouse.

The Greene County Agricultural Education Department will hold its annual spring plant sale March 26-30 and April 9-13 from 3:00 – 6:00 p.m. at the GCHS greenhouse. All plants have been grown by students in the Plant Science and Biotechnology class. Proceeds will benefit the class and the GCHS FFA chapter. GCHS FFA member, Jaylen Sneed, wins Sub-Area FFA Speaking Event

Greene County FFA member Jaylen Sneed recently won the Sub-Area II FFA Prepared Public Speaking Career Development Event. The event was held at East Jackson Middle School in Commerce on March 15.

Jaylen will compete for Area honors March 27 at the University of Georgia. The Area winner will advance to the state competition held at the State FFA Convention in April.

The FFA Prepared Public Speaking Career Development Event is designed to develop agricultural leadership. Participants are required to write and deliver a four to six minute long speech on an agricultural-related topic. The participants are judged on content and composition of the manuscript, voice, stage presence, power of expression, general effect and response to questions asked by a panel of judges. Jaylen chose to speak on the importance of agricultural careers.

FFA member, Linsey Meng, wins North Region Small Animal Care Proficiency.

For the second consecutive year, Linsey Meng, a senior FFA member from Greene County High School, has won the North Region Small Animal Care Proficiency Award. The award was based on Linsey’s work in her Supervised Agricultural Experience Project (SAE). FFA connects students to floriculture industry

For the Greene County FFA long hours of practiced paid off as they competed in Area II Floral Design Career Development Event October 4 at the Oconee County Civic Center in Watkinsville. Georgia Florist Association is the educational sponsor for the competition.
