Parents and Guardians...

Greene County High School administration and staff encourage parents and guardians to be a part of their children's educational plan.  Meeting Georgia Performance Standards and making adequate progress on benchmark and end-of course-test help students stay on the right track toward high school graduation.

Student grades reflect classroom progress as students strive to master specific skills of a performance standard.

As a parent, you can help your child continue to make adequate progress.

   * Ask about homework.  Homework reinforces classroom teaching and learning.

   * Ask about quizzes and tests.  Provide time for study and completion of assignments.

   * Ask your child to read. Reading improves comprehension and critical thinking.

   * Ask about your child's teachers.  Schedule and attend parent/teacher conferences.

   * Ask about attendance.  Make sure your child in attending class.

   * Ask about behavior.  Support behavior that supports successful social skills.
